Santa Cruz Police Launches Body-Worn Camera Field Test
On July 26, 2017, the Santa Cruz Police Department announces the launch of a body-worn camera pilot test program. A group of 11 officers assigned to field operations will be equipped with a body-worn camera device on the front of their uniform shirts. The body-worn cameras record interactions during their daily duties.
