The Homeless Garden Project (HGP) is moving to its new home at Pogonip. An organic farm will be located in the Lower Main Meadow as guided by the City’s Pogonip Master Plan. HGP provides job training, transitional employment and support services to people experiencing homelessness. Development of the site will occur in phases. In December 2018, 4.5 acres of land will be cleared, planted with cover crops, and generally prepared for cultivation. Farming will begin in Fall 2019. Construction of the buildings and parking lot are not anticipated until 2020.
