SANTA CRUZ — The City of Santa Cruz intersection at Bay and King streets will operate in a 4-way stop sign manner on Wednesday, Jan. 23, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. while the traffic signals will be taken out of service for new wiring and signal equipment improvements. The traffic signals are scheduled to be back in service for afternoon commute traffic.

This work is part of the Bay and King Streets Protected Left Turns and Streetlights Project which is installing five streetlights on Bay Street between Escalona Drive and King Street. It is also installing two traffic signal poles (for new left-turn arrows) and three new corner curb ramps at the Bay/King intersection.

The City apologizes for any inconvenience this work may cause and appreciates the public’s cooperation.  Any concerns or questions may be addressed to Project Manager Dan Estranero at (831) 420-5189 or
