Summary:

The City of Santa Cruz Water Department is soliciting Statements of Qualifications for consulting services to develop a risk and resilience assessment compliant with Sec. 2013 (Community Water System Risk and Resilience) of the American Water Infrastructure Act, signed into law as Public Law No: 115-270 on  October 23, 2018. The Consultant selected for this project will be required to provide the labor, equipment and materials to complete all the tasks listed in this scope of services section.

The Consultant shall develop a Risk and Resiliency Assessment that covers and incorporates the following requirements of Sec. 2013 of the American Water Infrastructure Act, and any other subsequent updated requirements that the USEPA shall provide for conducting this assessment:
• The risk to the system from malevolent acts and natural hazards;
• The resilience of the pipes and constructed conveyances, physical barriers, source water, water collection and intake, pre-treatment, treatment, storage and distribution facilities, electronic, computer, or other automated systems (including the security of such systems) which are utilized by the system;
• The monitoring practices of the system;
• The financial infrastructure of the system;
• The use, storage, or handling of various chemicals by the system; and
• The operation and maintenance of the system.
