All walks begin at 9:30 am from the designated meeting point and are approximately 2 hours unless otherwise noted.
June 1: Rio del Mar Beach
Meet at the esplanade parking area at Rio del Mar Beach (at the end of Rio Del Mar Blvd. in Aptos). Carpool if you can! We will walk along the paved pathway next to the beach, to Seacliff State Beach and back. We will spend a few minutes in the visitors' center at Seacliff State Beach, and walk out on the pier to check out the damage done to the cement ship during the 2016/2017 winter storms. Easy terrain.
June 8: Oceanview Park to Natural History Museum
Meet at the top of Oceanview Park at the end of Oceanview Avenue. We will walk to the Seabright neighborhood and have a docent-led tour of the Natural History Museum (inside and the surrounding grounds). Then we will walk back to Oceanview Park. Easy to moderate terrain.
Hope to see you soon at WAG!
