On May 14th, the Santa Cruz City Council voted to put a hold on the decision to proceed with a Downtown Library Mixed Use Project and convene a council subcommittee to investigate library project alternatives, in collaboration with Library staff and the interested community, and return with a recommendation to the larger council no later than October 2019*.

*UPDATE: The Council Subcommittee will now be returning to the full City Council with their recommendations at the second Council meeting in January.
