Currently dogs are prohibited in downtown Santa Cruz. The ordinance establishes a three-month trial period, through November 30, 2011, in which dogs, subject to certain conditions and requirements would be allowed in downtown Santa Cruz during daylight hours. |

This ordinance establishes a second tier retirement benefit formula for local safety members entering membership for the first time in a safety classification after the effective date of this amendment to the contract. It decreases the benefit from the current 3% @ 50 formula to 3% @ 55 and changes the final compensation calculation from “single highest year” to “three-year average.” |

This ordinance amends Section 16.08.020 of the Santa Cruz Municipal Code and adds a new Section 16.08.065 regarding graywater systems to facilitate residential graywater use as allowed under Chapter 16A of the California Plumbing Code and to establish notification, plan review, and inspection requirements for graywater systems. |
