The refurbished Del Mar Theatre, located at 1124 Pacific Ave in downtown Santa Cruz, is available on a limited basis for use by non-profit community groups for film festivals and lecture series. The theater contains the 495-seat Grand Auditorium, and two smaller 140-seat theaters, and is equipped with state-of-the-art sound and projection facilities. The theater boasts a refurbished grand lobby and concessions area and is fully disabled accessible.
The Theatre is available in two time slots, either before 1 p.m. or from 5 to 11 p.m. If your group is interested in using the theatre, please read the Policies and Procedures and then contact us at 831-420-5150 for information on availability.
In order to rent the theatre for community use, your group must provide a use fee to the City and management fees to the theater and insurance among other requirements. The Policies and Procedures also contain a checklist for all the steps in the community use process.
