Friends of Parks and Recreation (FOPAR), a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting Parks and Recreation programs and services, is pleased to announce that $15,000 in summer scholarships have been awarded for summer 2013 programs. Summer scholarships are supported by Omega Nu, the City of Santa Cruz, the Jay Moriarity Scholarship Fund, the J.R. Scott Scholarship Fund and the Jr. Guard Booster Club scholarship program.
The FOPAR summer scholarship application deadline was Monday, April 1, 2013 and first round scholarships have already been awarded. More funding may become available soon.
