On February 25, 2011 the City Council conducted a strategic planning retreat in order to develop a three-year strategic plan that would guide the City’s near-term efforts in addressing its most pressing issues. The Council adopted five (5) major goals: enhance environmental sustainability, enhance community safety, attract and retain jobs and businesses, achieve financial stability and sustainability, and improve the City’s infrastructure and facilities. City staff in turn identified thirty-three strategic objectives that, when completed, would contribute towards the realization of the strategic plan’s five goals.
