Describe the Event: 

At 9:56 P.M. Santa Cruz City Fire units were clearing a reported explosion under a house were no damage was found and was dispatched to the area of River Street and Josephine for reported trees on fire. The dispatchers relayed information that they were receiving multiple calls and that a storage unit was involved also. The response was upgraded to include additional units as flames and smoke could be seen from a distance. Upon arrival crews found heavy fire in the area. Crews initially went to the reported address on Josephine and found that it was down a long driveway off River Street. Crews gained access and found an outside shed, dumpster and a vehicle in various stages of catching fire. The fire was also starting to get into a storage locker facility witch had approximately 20-30 units. Crews aggressively attacked the fire preventing the fire from entering the storage facility. No damage was done to the interior of the storage facility however the roof and overhang had to be opened up to extinguish hidden fire. No injuries were reported. The fire cause was determined to be electrical in nature or combustibles to close to a heating devise. A homeless male was allowed by the owner to stay at this location.
