Describe the Event:

At 11:08 PM Santa Cruz Fire was dispatched to a confirmed structure fire at 719 Emeline. Upon arrival crews found a residential structure with significant fire involvement. Occupants were outside and uninjured. Crews kept the fire from spreading to nearby structures and were able to extinguish the fire quickly. Overhaul was challenging because of construction features and contents within the home. Crews remained on scene until it was confirmed that all fire had been extinguished. During the course of overhaul the owners’ cat was found and was resuscitated by firefighters. A majority of the home and contents were destroyed by the fire.
