Describe the Event:

At 11:29 AM Santa Cruz Fire was dispatched to a cliff rescue in the area of Fair and West Cliff. When units arrived they found a subject lying on the rocks at the base of a 15’ cliff. Bystanders reported that he had fallen and lost consciousness after the fall. Crews began patient assessment and care while setting up a retrieval system using the aerial ladder truck. After the subject was brought to the walkway on West Cliff his care was transferred to AMR. The subject was transported by air ambulance to Stanford Hospital.
