The City of Santa Cruz Water Department is soliciting Statements of Qualifications from individuals or firms to provide on-call geotechnical engineering services to support the design, construction and repair of Water Department facilities. The contract will initially last one year. The Contract may be renewed up to four times for an additional year (for a potential 5-year contract total). A copy of the City’s Standard Professional Service Agreement is attached. The scope, schedule, and fee will be negotiated on a project-specific basis.
The selected individual or firm will provide geotechnical engineering services including collection and interpretation of necessary field information to characterize the project conditions, evaluation and recommendation of appropriate construction methods, identification of limitations and constraints, preparation of reports for City staff to reference and include in project design documents, review of construction submittals, and field inspection during construction.
