Santa Cruz Municipal Utilities (SCMU) provides customer service for water, sewer, refuse and recycling services to the residents and businesses of the City of Santa Cruz, and services for water only to the unincorporated surrounding areas. Utility Service Representatives are available to answer your questions and provide assistance with your services.
To Report a Water Emergency
Call 831-420-5220, Santa Cruz Municipal Utilities, to report a water emergency day or night. During business hours, a Utility Service Representative will take information and call the appropriate section for action on the emergency. After-hours emergency calls are forwarded to a duty person who acts on the emergency.
In the event of a major emergency, there will be a recorded message to provide information and instructions.
