MISSION STATEMENT
The Center's mission is to seek a balance between social, recreational and cultural services to the diverse communities of Santa Cruz. We strive to create a safe and welcoming environment accessible to all.

CLASSES
Louden Nelson hosts a variety of classes including African dance, samba, tango, belly dance, qi-gong and self defense. Check out our weekly calendar of classes to find one that’s right for you!
EVENTS
Senior Social Saturdays - FREE!

Come out and play as Seniors take over the Teen Center each Saturday afternoon. Friends and family members are welcome to join in on the fun. No need to sign up. Just come on down.
Game Day is back for summer - FREE!

Chess, Scrabble, Yahtzee, Chinese Checkers, Dominoes . . . Join your friends for some serious fun! Play games, eat popcorn and socialize while honing your competitive spirit.
TEEN CENTER
Teen Center now open!
Teens are welcome Tuesday - Thursday, 2:00 - 8:00 pm and Friday & Saturday, 2:00 - 10:00 pm. Come on down and check out the new digs!

HALLWAY GALLERY: Art Quilts by Nana Montgomery. Art will be on display for the month of July.
ROOM RENTALS
Conveniently located in downtown Santa Cruz, Louden Nelson Community Center has a wide selection of rooms to meet your event needs including classrooms, dance rooms, multi-use room with commercial kitchen and auditorium. All classrooms equipped with white board, projection screen and sound. Wireless internet access is available. To reserve space, call 831-420-6177.
Special Half-Price Rentals
Sale on Friday classroom rentals! Reserve a classroom on Fridays any time after 2:00 p.m. for half the price!
THEATER
Equipped with professional lighting and sound systems, raked seating and spacious dressing rooms, the theater can accommodate a variety of special events including theater, dance, recitals and speaking engagements. There is not a bad seat in the house. Call 831-420-6183.
DOWNTOWN SENIOR CENTER

PARKING PERMITS
Free permits are available to Community Center patrons for nearby parking posted with signs saying "LNCC Permit Valid". These permits are valid only during Center operating hours and when attending activities at Louden Nelson. Please inquire at the front desk.
