Describe the Event:

At 10:11 AM Santa Cruz Fire was dispatched to a confirmed structure fire at 112 Glover Street. Upon arriving at the address units found a single story residential structure with smoke coming from the front of the building. Crews quickly determined that there had been a fire in the kitchen and that it had been partially extinguished prior to their arrival. Crews completely extinguished the fire and checked to ensure that it had not extended beyond the kitchen area. The building was ventilated to remove all smoke and byproducts of combustion. A neighbor saw smoke coming from the building and used a garden hose in an attempt to extinguish the fire. No one was injured and the fire damage was limited to the kitchen area. After investigation it was determined that the fire was accidental in nature.
