Bay Street PG&E Gas Main Replacement Project Begins July 15

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. — The City of Santa Cruz has approved the Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) Gas Distribution Main Replacement Project to begin Monday, July 15, on Bay Street.  The project will continue weekdays between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. through Friday, September 13.

The project will begin on the Bay Street block between King and Mission streets.  It will eventually continue to the intersection of Bay and Mission streets.

Traffic delays are expected during construction with lane closure and detour. The public is advised to seek alternate routes.  On-street parking in the vicinity may also be restricted.

The City apologizes for any inconvenience this construction work may cause and appreciates the public’s cooperation.  Any concerns or questions may be addressed to the PG&E Customer Service Hotline at 1-888-743-7431.
