City Council Meeting to Convene as Scheduled
Adjustments Made in Response to COVID-19

SANTA CRUZ, CA – With the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) encouraging the public to stay home if they are currently sick, showing symptoms, have knowingly been exposed to the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), or have recently traveled to an infected area, and consistent with the County’s Interim Guidance for Social Distancing, the City of Santa Cruz is taking precautionary steps to ensure the public access to today’s Council meeting while limiting opportunities for COVID-19 to spread.

The City is encouraging those who are unable to attend to view the City Council meetings on the City of Santa Cruz’s Website at http://www.cityofsantacruz.com/government/city-council/council-meetings, on http://communitytv.org/watch/government-demand/, or on channel 25. The public is also invited to submit their comments via email to cityclerk@cityofsantacruz.com. The sender must include the agenda item number and title in the email’s subject line. All emails will be shared with the Councilmembers and will be considered part of the public record.

There will continue to be public comment during the meeting for each agenda item under the Oral Communications/Public Comment section. However, the public should be prepared for logistical adjustments due to the Council Chamber room capacity being temporarily limited to 50 people. An overflow area will be available in the Tony Hill Room.

For general information on COVID-19 please call 211, or text coronavirus to 211211, or visit www.santacruzhealth.org/coronavirus for updates and links to state and federal guidance.
