In consideration of recommendations from Santa Cruz County Public Health and the CDC recommendations, Parks and Recreation Admin will be closed until further notice. For more information, see Parks & Recreation’s COVID-19 Response.

Our dynamic summer camp staff is back to offer two 3-week long sessions of camp! Per the Public Health Order, camps are limited to twelve participants per group.

We've heard you Santa Cruz! Summer is about getting outside, seeing old friends and making new ones, as well as playing and exploring nature. We know things are different this summer, but we want to assure you that we are working hard to provide the same high quality of programming you know, love and have come to expect from the City of Santa Cruz Parks and Recreation Department! Our reconfigured camp program will still provide all the fun arts and crafts, games, activities, outdoor and growth experiences that we're known for while emphasizing and maintaining safety for all.

Here's how we’re doing that:
Camps will be held almost entirely outdoors and consist of stable groups of 12 kids maximum with 3 dedicated staff (2 staff per day). Each camp group will have access to their own restroom facility. Extra cleaning and sanitation measures will be taken all around. If you have special requests or needs for the placement of your child/ren, please inform us and we will do what we can to accommodate.
